Our Purpose In Life
"Joy is the goal of existence, and joy is not to be stumbled upon, but to be achieved, and the act of treason is to let its vision drown in the swamp of the moment's torture." -Ayn Rand
I'm a big Ayn Rand fan and quotes like this one are one reason. I really agree with her life philosophy of living for yourself and earning everything you get in life instead of complaining and asking for handouts. I can't really think of any subject in life where going about it with another worldview, philosophy, or strategy will turn out better. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe no one cares. Maybe no one is even going to read this...
